Minimum lubrication technology is an innovative technology.
What is minimum quality lubrication?
Minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) works with an air / lubricant mixture (aerosol), which contains only a very small proportion of cooling lubricant (KSS).
The smallest droplets of lubricant are applied directly to the cutting edge. The targeted application creates an optimum lubricating film between tool, workpiece and chip that minimizes frictional heat even before it is generated or dissipates it via the chip.
If set optimally, MQL is a loss or consumption lubrication. This means that nearly 100 percent of the aerosol evaporates at the site of action.
In which areas is minimal lubrication technology used?
Drilling, turning, milling, chamfering, stamping, mold spraying, wetting of tapes and coils, forming, engraving, pipe bending, roll wetting, pressing, nibbling, flow forming, fine blanking, threading, profiling, broaching, high speed machining, chain lubrication, grooving , Deep drawing, stamping, pressing, countersinking, anti-rust, grinding, sizing, preserving, cutting, sawing, stamp wetting, rubbing, butting, deep hole drilling
What advantages do the MMS systems from HPM offer?
The minimal quantity of spray systems of the HPM technology reduces the liquid consumption in your process to a minimum. The goal is to deliver as little as possible to the process as much as possible to the medium. This significantly reduces the costs of the liquid used in your production. At the same time, the workpieces and chips remain dry. As a result, in some cases (depending on the liquid used and application) downstream cleaning processes can be omitted. This saves costs, time and space.
In addition, employees are exposed to significantly lower emissions. This is how the most important human resource can be sustainably protected. This can sustainably reduce the personnel costs.
Can the service lives of the tools be increased?
By reducing the friction between the tool and the workpiece, the generation of heat on the tool can be significantly reduced. This protects the tools and at the same time increases the service life. Partial increase can be realized by 1000%. In addition, the dimensional accuracy of the workpieces is improved.
Are the MMS systems from HPM reliably reliable?
In developing our products, we can look back on over 70 years of experience in the development of spray heads and related systems. As a result, you can ensure that your process is absolutely reliable in both chip and chipless machining. For questions about setting and handling our systems, our application engineers are always at your disposal.
All systems of the HPM technology are based on the modular principle. Thus, in addition to our standard devices, we can also configure systems that are specially tailored to your needs and processes and that remain absolutely attractively priced. Depending on the application, we differentiate between pressure less and pressurized systems. Here, too, our application engineers are available to you with help and advice during project planning.
How does HPM Minimum Quantity Lubrication Systems differ from other spray systems?
The HPM minimum quantity lubrication system differs in essential points from conventional spray systems:
- No wearing parts on the spray head
- Robust even under the most adverse conditions
- Minimal and reproducible fluid consumption
- largely maintenance-free
- modular construction
- absolutely reliable
Which liquids can be sprayed?
Almost all liquids up to a viscosity of 2300 mm² / sec can be sprayed at 20 ° C. Excluded here are paints, resins and adhesives.
How is the liquid fed to the nozzle?
With low-viscosity liquid, the negative pressure on our spray head draws the liquid directly from the storage tank. For liquids of higher viscosity, we use a pressurized storage tank. This pushes the liquid to the nozzle. There, the atomization takes place by the compressed air.
How is the amount of fluid regulated?
The minimum amount of liquid is regulated directly on our spray heads. This allows the consumption to be infinitely and optimally adjusted to your process. The once set amount of liquid always remains constant.
Does the amount of fluid change when the amount of air changes?
Increasing the spray air pressure requires more liquid to the spray head. As a result, in addition to the setting on the spray head, the amount of liquid applied can also be regulated via the spray air pressure. Basically, our systems work in the lower pressure range (from 0.5 bar). As a result, a strong misting of the liquid is prevented.
How many nozzles can be connected to an HPM MMS system?
In principle, any number of nozzles can be connected. Thanks to our modular design, even the largest transfer plants can be easily supplied via a central system. Our standard units are equipped with up to 6 connections for spray heads.
Can the spray be timed?
Our systems are equipped with electric or pneumatic controlled valves for separate control of liquid and air. This allows very short clock
What are the consequences of using an HPM minimum quantity lubrication system?
In addition to the low cost of using the corresponding liquid low costs incurred by the air consumption. Otherwise, there are no additional costs when using an HPM minimum quantity lubrication system.
How can the HPM systems be adapted to different processing machines?
Due to the modular structure of our systems, our systems can be optimally adapted to the most diverse requirements of your processing machine.
